GAS LEAK SURVEY

The ACC requires Master Meter Operators to have a "Gas Leak Survey" performed on the complex gas lines.  Qualified Technicians perform the test using a DP III unit. This unit is used to detect gas leaks outside of the standing buildings, both above and underground. An odor test is also performed to establish that odor is present in the gas (odor is needed for detection in the event of an indoor gas leak).  Finally, a valve test is performed on all shut-off valves to establish that they are in working order - in case of an emergency.  After the tests are performed, a report is issued stating the results and recommendations.  We can also assist you with repairs that need to be made to your gas distribution system.
